A section of leaders from Marsabit County have commended the national government for what they termed as remarkable progress in opening up the historically marginalized region through improved road networks and health infrastructure.
Speaking during a development tour, the leaders cited ongoing tarmacking of key roads and the upgrade of health facilities as evidence of the government's commitment to the region.
"For the first time in decades, we are seeing tangible development that directly touches the lives of our people," said one of the area MPs.
