The Kirinyaga County health department has launched a tuberculosis awareness campaign targeting early detection and improved treatment adherence among residents.
Health officials said cases of TB in the county remain a concern, particularly in informal settlements and among populations with limited access to healthcare.
"Early detection saves lives. We are encouraging anyone with a persistent cough lasting more than two weeks to visit the nearest health facility for screening," said a county health official.
