The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has launched an investigation into alleged irregularities in the award of tenders by the Embu County government.
Sources within the county assembly say the probe follows a petition by a section of MCAs alleging that due procurement procedures were flouted in the award of multi-million shilling contracts.
The County Government has pledged full cooperation with investigators, saying it welcomes scrutiny to ensure accountability in the use of public resources.
