County government repairs rural access roads

Embu County government has commenced repair works on several rural access roads that had become impassable, cutting off residents in some areas from accessing markets and health facilities.

The road grading exercise, funded through the county's roads maintenance levy, targets over 50 kilometers of rural roads across the county's four sub-counties.

Farmers have welcomed the exercise, saying it will ease transportation of agricultural produce to the market ahead of the harvesting season.
