Lewa Safari Marathon draws international athletes

The annual Lewa Safari Marathon attracted hundreds of runners, including international athletes, who converged at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy to compete while raising funds for conservation and community projects.

The marathon, held against the backdrop of Mount Kenya and free-roaming wildlife, has grown into one of the region's most iconic sporting events, drawing global attention to conservation efforts in Laikipia and Meru counties.

Proceeds from the event support education, healthcare and wildlife conservation programmes within the surrounding communities.
