Hundreds of residents, majority of them children, benefited from a free hearing screening exercise held in Machakos County, aimed at the early detection and management of hearing impairments.
The camp, organized in partnership with medical volunteers and the county health department, provided free consultations, hearing tests and referrals for further treatment where necessary.
"Early detection of hearing problems in children can make a huge difference in their development and education outcomes," said a specialist involved in the exercise.
